The Story Behind Fusion Hospitality

A Modern Twist On Guyanese Nostalgia

Fusion Hospitality was born from a shared vision between two friends, Yonnick David and Javid Rahaman, who reconnected at a rooftop bar called Altitude. At the time, Yonnick had just returned to Guyana after living in the United States, while Javid was deeply involved in running Altitude his family’s business. What began as casual conversations quickly evolved into a bigger idea, one centred on elevating the standards of hospitality in Guyana.

As the vision took shape, they were joined by Victor Tenias, a talented and passionate chef whose culinary creativity completed the foundation of the group. Together, they formed Fusion Hospitality, engaging investors and building a portfolio of some of Guyana’s premier dining and entertainment destinations. In a short time, Fusion Hospitality has catered to influential audiences, earned multiple awards, created meaningful employment, and helped redefine what modern hospitality can look like in Guyana. Driven by a genuine love for the industry and for the country, Fusion Hospitality continues to grow—focused on quality, people, and a long-term vision for the future of Guyanese hospitality.

The opening of Nikkei Guyana marked a defining moment for modern dining in Guyana. Blending Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, Nikkei quickly captured national attention, earned critical acclaim, and positioned itself as one of the country’s most talked-about culinary destinations, signalling the arrival of a new culinary force.

Everyday Excellence

With the launch of Bloom Café, Fusion Hospitality expanded its vision into everyday dining. Bloom introduced a relaxed yet refined café experience, pairing expertly crafted coffee with thoughtfully prepared food, creating a welcoming space for work, connection, and community, while raising the standard for casual dining in Guyana.

Expansion & Momentum

Fusion Hospitality enters its next phase of growth with the upcoming launch of Padron Mediterranean and Sixes Social. These new concepts represent scale, confidence, and momentum, further strengthening Fusion’s footprint while creating new jobs, new experiences, and new opportunities across Guyana’s hospitality and entertainment landscape.
